Human Resources Area Director
Full-time
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Human Resources Area Director to join our team overseeing multiple hotel properties in the vibrant city of Kansas City! Kansas City is famous for its barbecue, jazz scene, and warm hospitality. As the Area Director, you will be at the forefront of creating an environment where team members thrive, ensuring our hotels continue providing exceptional guest experiences. As the Human Resources Area Director, you will ensure associates are fully prepared for their roles by managing performance, facilitating recruiting and onboarding, overseeing compensation and employee relations, and supporting administrative needs across properties. **
Key Responsibilities**
- Balance HR and operational needs across multiple properties. Maximize efficiencies through HR systems and technology.
- Foster our core values in interactions with team members and leadership. Provide coaching to develop leaders and address concerns.
- Partner with managers on compensation strategies. Ensure rewards programs are equitable and competitive.
- Build strong talent pools through local partnerships. Own full-cycle recruiting for all positions.
- Handle employee relations issues timely. Lead investigations and ensure adherence to policies and laws.
- Serve as point of contact for workers' compensation and unemployment claims. Maintain HR audit standards.
- Ensure proper new hire onboarding and compliance training. Administer affirmative action plans.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years progressive HR leadership experience including solid HR generalist skills
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Advanced skills with HRIS platforms and related technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospitality industry experience
- Multi-property HR expertise
- Active HR certification (PHR, SPHR, etc.)
- Workday experience
