Your missions

We are seeking a dedicated Community Manager to oversee the operations and administration of a vibrant community association. As the Community Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering positive relationships with homeowners, vendors, board members, committee members, and internal staff. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the Grand Rapids area. **

Responsibilities**

  • Provide overall supervision of the Association in alignment with the management agreement and established policies and procedures.
  • Act as the primary liaison with the Association's Board of Directors and homeowners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Execute administrative and management tasks as directed by the Board of Directors and in accordance with the management agreement.
  • Ensure the efficient utilization of Associa community management tools, including but not limited to annual calendars, action item lists, financial reports, and procurement procedures.
  • Review monthly financial reports and present management summaries to the Association's Board of Directors.
  • Make recommendations to the Board of Directors and committees regarding major capital expenditures to maintain the community's appearance and functionality.
  • Monitor delinquency rates and oversee the collections process for the account portfolio.
  • Attend Board meetings and community events as required, maintaining proactive engagement.
  • Prepare Board packages in a timely manner, adhering to established time frames.
  • Keep the Board of Directors informed of any legal actions involving the Association.
  • Maintain accurate records related to unit and contract files.
  • Assist with architectural review processes and routine inspections as needed.
  • Update resident information in the C3 database as necessary.
  • Manage routine and special project vendors, including procurement and performance evaluation.
  • Oversee Associa staff in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Coordinate facility inspections and arrange follow-up actions as required.
  • Manage accounts payable processes in accordance with Associa's procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong grasp of business correspondence standards.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques.
  • Excellent professional communication and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative team player.
  • Effective time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in condominium and homeowner associations.
