Mortgage Loan Officer
A company is currently seeking an experienced In-house Loan Officer to join our team. Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct thorough interviews with customers to complete loan applications within five days of the purchase agreement.
- Proactively review leads daily and reach out to borrowers through phone and email to obtain their loan application.
- Recommend suitable mortgage loan products that align with the customer's financial and individual needs.
- Strive to make loan decisions within five days of the application and achieve Conditional Loan Approval I status within thirty days.
- Engage with builder and realtor partners at various events, meetings, and special occasions to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Be readily accessible to customers and associates, ensuring prompt return of calls.
- Establish rapport with borrowers, builders, realtors, and processors, providing top-tier customer service.
- Solicit new business from home builders and realtors, and assist New Home Consultants with customer pre-qualifications.
- Maintain detailed reports and notes within the origination computer system to facilitate the exchange of information.
- Collaborate in weekly "Pipeline" meetings and provide support to loan processing and closing departments to ensure smooth loan processing.
- Travel to communities as needed to meet with borrowers and obtain loan applications.
Qualifications And Skills
Education and Experience:
- Preferred: One to two years of experience as a Loan Officer (training provided for license)
- Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required by the state
- General knowledge of mortgage banking, including familiarity with lock procedures
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Strong computer skills with 1 to 2 years of experience in mortgage software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong advisory and customer service abilities
- Meticulous attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Self-motivated and dedicated work ethic
- General office skills, including answering calls, taking messages, and light bookkeeping
- Ability to study independently
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle
- Established relationships with real estate professionals
- Ability to read rate sheets and price loans
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new processes
- Provision of a laptop
