About our Business Intelligence Analyst:

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting analysis on business-related questions, developing reports and communicating results and findings to the business. The successful candidate will be able to influence business decisions and strategy through deep dive analyses and thorough understanding of business functional areas. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge of the business via a rotational assignment across Finance, Pricing, Marketing, and other departments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Translate business-related questions into data questions
• Apply statistical knowledge and judgment to business challenges and questions
• Generate project ideas to address areas of need
• Mentor and train junior analysts
• Find and extract relevant data to perform analysis and build reports
• Translate data into words to convey findings in informative manner
• Communicate and collaborate with business stakeholders to answer business questions
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Is within commuting distance of Richmond, VA
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration, or similar equivalent
• Advanced competencies in Office products including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of SQL or a similar language and data visualization
• High level of attention to detail and quality output
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Motivated and enthusiastic
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly and effectively
• Puzzle solver: has natural curiosity, apt at pattern recognition, executes creative solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of professional analytical experience
• Working knowledge of Python, R, Power BI, Snowflake, Jira, GitHub or equivalent
• Demonstrated application of statistical processes and techniques such as experimental design, correlations, regressions, hypothesis testing

In-Office Requirements:

• Employee will be expected to be able to attend work in-office at our Richmond, VA office at least one day per month for collaboration, training, and team-building. All other remaining time will be work-from-home.  

Work from Home Requirements:  

• A dedicated workspace that is free from background noise and distractions of any kind during business hours.
• A reliable high-speed broadband Internet service provider with a connection speed of at least 10 megabytes to meet bandwidth needs. Click here to test your internet speed.
• Access to a direct Ethernet cable connection physically connected to a router or modem is essential should your Wi-Fi connection alone not be sufficient.
