About the role
The role of the Retail Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in driving retail sales, enhancing brand visibility, and fostering customer engagement within the retail space through strategic marketing initiatives and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This role reports directly to the Director, Brand Strategy.
Roles and responsibilities...
- Develop and execute a comprehensive brand and account specific marketing strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
- Develop and manage the retail marketing budget to ensure that all initiatives are cost-effective and deliver a strong return on investment.
- Lead account specific trade (shopper) marketing efforts to help drive velocities and ensure success in the retail channel.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure that product launches are supported by effective marketing campaigns that drive adoption and sales.
- Create and present marketing slides for retail headquarter calls.
- Collaborate with sales and other departments to ensure that all marketing initiatives are aligned with the overall company strategy and goals.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of all marketing initiatives, using data-driven insights to make recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
- Design and manage retail related events including but not limited to trade shows and in-store sampling opportunities.
- Establish and maintain relationships across the organization to develop partnerships with key industry influencers, media outlets, and strategic partners, extending our reach and awareness around our retail presence.
- Lead, develop and scale a talented field marketing team, providing strategic guidance and ongoing support to help team members thrive personally and professionally.
Success in 6 months looks like:
- Create marketing launch plans for retail partners that generate high conversion and brand awareness.
- Establish sustain marketing campaigns that maintain high conversion and brand awareness.
- Build relationships with key contacts at retailers and brokers.
Success in 2 years looks like:
- Increase brand awareness for Ka’Chava across all retailers.
- Grow AOV across retailers with a combination of marketing tactics and new product introductions.
- Drive sales by tracking and growing unit velocities by retailers & expanding our retail footprint..
- Manage and optimize ROAS and other digital KPIs for retail performance marketing.
About you
- 7+ years’ experience in CPG marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Must be able to travel up to 20%, maybe some overnight travel
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that drive revenue growth and customer acquisition.
- Deep understanding of marketing analytics and ability to use data and make informed decisions.
- Deep understanding of branding and the power of brand positioning to make for a winning proposition.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve ambitious goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred locations: FL, GA, MA, CO, NY, WA, OR, TX, WV, NV, NH, and OH
Compensation: $135,000 – $152,000
