The Senior Actuarial Presales Consultant (General Insurance) is responsible for working with the sales team in identifying clients’ needs, proposing and demonstrating the FIS Insurance Prophet actuarial solutions and works in conjunction with the Sales Executives to pursue high value software and services sales and business development opportunities within FIS’s current and prospective client base to achieve or exceed yearly sales goals, increase market share and maximize profits.

He is responsible for developing and managing the clients technical and end user relationships and assisting sales executives in selling the strategic vision at C-level to board level as required.

Role Description

  • Support FIS insurance clients in APAC (Mainly Greater China)

  • Through direct communication with prospective clients, work with the Sales Executives to gain a thorough understanding of their business needs, system needs & IFRS requirements. Help develop and articulate the FIS Prophet actuarial solution to clients

  • Demonstrate the Prophet actuarial and related insurance solutions to current and prospective clients. Provide actuarial, business and technical input to RFP’s, client proposals, etc.

  • In conjunction with the Sales Executives help manage and control the sales cycle from initial prospect contact, client needs analysis, solution presentation, completion of proposals, delivery schedules and product specifications

  • Lead GTM initiatives for business development and incremental revenue

  • Be customer technical focal point and co-ordinate with other company’s resources regionally and locally

  • Maintain an effective presence at industry events, conferences, seminars and trainings as required.

  • Represent FIS in the relevant actuarial associations and fairs.

Product

  • Maintain expertise in related insurance industry issues relative to trends, competition, and customer needs.

  • Maintain expertise relative to the function and technology of the FIS product offering in order to represent and sell effectively.

  • He will be assuming the role of trainer for internal staffs who is supporting the insurance business locally. 

What you will be doing

  • Strong experience in Life Insurance

  • In depth understanding and experience of actuarial and risk modelling techniques

  • Hands-on experience of Model development in Prophet Professional software

  • Knowledge or hands on experience of using other Prophet suite solutions like Prophet Enterprise, Insurance Data Repository etc, will be an advantage.

  • Must be able to speak and write fluent English.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Team player with a strong sense of ownership

  • Location will be based in Beijing or Shanghai.    

  • Around 15-25% of travel will be required.

What you Bring

  • University graduate in Actuary Studies or equivalent (actuarial certification an advantage)

  • Have worked in Insurance company, Business consultancy firms or Insurance solution providers for at least 8 years
