Job Summary
Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.
Responsibilities
•Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. •Compare budgeted costs to actual costs by developing, maintaining, and analyzing budgets and preparing periodic reports. •Compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, or verify information or data. •Observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources. •Identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events. •Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work. •Enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic/magnetic form. •Program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information by using multiple computer systems (including hardware and software). •Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems. •Determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards by using relevant information and individual judgment. •Identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. •Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. •Remain up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job. •Communicate with others to convey information effectively.
