Job Description

Maricich is seeking an accomplished Freelance Media Planner with senior planning experience across multiple digital and traditional channels including CTV, paid social, display, programmatic video, YouTube, streaming audio, radio local broadcast / cable, print, direct marketing with a fundamental knowledge of the nuances of digital related to strategy, media mix and deployment variables such as use of data for audience targeting and programmatic campaign deployment. The Media Planner will be responsible for the development of media plan recommendations and will work with multiple team members and strategic partners. The candidate will be expected to analyze trends, competitive, client goals and objectives, understand strategic business insights and creative executions to appropriately align media recommendations to reach key audiences to achieve the desired KPIs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Possess a working knowledge of multiple media channels, with a fundamental understanding of the digital media mix, tools and emerging strategies

  • Research competitive tracking and provide client specific analysis

  • Work with media partners to pull demographics, behavioral information, and basic media metrics to help evaluate media properties. Ideally combine demographics, behavioral themes, and psychographics to create custom target audiences and analyze their media usage habits for advanced planning purposes

  • Develop and analyze the campaign targets, develop campaign strategy, develop media recommendations and decks for presentation to clients, revise and finalize plans, and secure, execute, and report on media campaigns, either directly or in conjunction with agency media buying partners

  • Plan, implement and/or facilitate media campaigns across broadcast (radio & TV), print, OOH, CTV, display, video, paid social, streaming audio, multicultural, sponsorships and B2B / tradeshow

  • Develop or facilitate completion of campaign support elements such as budget summaries, plan summaries, status reports, pacing reports, and marketing performance reports.

  • Ability to support new business presentation by assembling preliminary media strategy POVs, etc.

Qualifications
  • B.A. or B.S. Degree in Business / Marketing

  • Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in marketing, research or advertising

  • Healthcare agency, organization or related company experience preferred in addition to multicultural media experience

  • Working knowledge of all current media types and emerging/new media types

  • Ability to strategically develop digital and traditional media campaigns

  • Experience with planning tools (or other related products): MRI- Simmons, Nielsen Kantar, Claritas, SRDS, etc.

  • Knowledge of programmatic platforms / DSPs process and other digital tools and data sources such as Google Marketing Platform, TradeDesk, comScore, eMarketer, Resonate, Pulsepoint, LiveRamp, MedDataGroup, etc.

  • A complete and thorough understanding of media math concepts including CPMs, CPAs Reach & Frequency, etc.

  • Ability to multitask, manage and drive timelines / budgets

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Skilled at developing and delivering client presentations / interacting with clients

  • Well versed in collaboration with internal agency team members and agency partners

  • The four main verticals from which relevant experience is a plus are:

  • Public Health / Multicultural - Targeting Medi-Cal / Diverse Healthcare Audiences

  • Hospitals & Health Systems – Targeting Consumers

  • B2B Healthcare – Targeting Healthcare C-Suite / Managers

  • Medical Device / Health Tech / Life Sciences – Targeting HCP

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $75 - $120 hr. that the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position consistent with applicable law. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. The Company will not provide benefits for this role.
