Role overview

Join our dynamic finance team in a pivotal role as a Solvency II Reporting Manager. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in various finance activities and play a key role in managing, producing, and reviewing Solvency II Pillar 3 reports and other regulatory returns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solvency II Reporting:
    • Manage, produce, and review Solvency II Pillar 3 reports and other regulatory returns quarterly and annually.
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Solvency II reporting requirements, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Technical analysis: Analyze and interpret technical requirements, staying informed about new rules or changes, and assessing their impact on accounting policies and procedures.
  • Process improvement: Enhance documentation of processes and procedures to support the preparation of Solvency II reporting, aiming for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Finance reporting: Support the Head of Financial Reporting and CFO on various finance reporting requirements and projects as needed.
  • Additional Regulatory Returns: Produce PRA, FCA, and other regulatory returns, ensuring compliance with specified deadlines.
  • UK GAAP Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of UK GAAP financial statements when required.
  • Documentation and Cross-Skilling: Document processes to minimize dependencies and facilitate cross-skilling within the team.
  • Audit Support: Respond to both external and internal audit queries, ensuring a smooth audit process.
Requirements:

Qualifications & skills: 

  • Qualified ACA or equivalent with a track record in the insurance industry.
  • Operational experience with UK GAAP and Solvency II.
  • Proven experience in a similar role with dedicating experience in preparing and reviewing Solvency II and tax returns.
  • Proficiency in Solvency II reporting software, specifically FSSS.
  • Nice to have: Experience in preparing UK GAAPs.

  • Comfortable with change, uncertainty, and ambiguity.
  • Agile and flexible mindset.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in various ways.
  • Attention to detail and a grounded personality.
  • Strong leadership skills.

  2. Manager interview with UK Chief Finance Officer & UK HR Manager 
  3. Senior executive interview with Chief Risk Officer & Chief Actuary
  4. Cross interview with Risk & Compliance central functions
  5. HR interview with Head of Talent or VP People & Culture
