Role Overview**
As we expand, we are actively seeking experienced HR professionals who are ready for a change. While this role involves occasional travel to clients in and around the Massachusetts area, including Boston post-COVID, it is currently predominantly remote. What You'll Do**
Serve as the primary Human Resources resource for staff and leadership, acting as the part-time HR Department for various clients across different industries.
Collaborate with a service delivery team, including recruiting and HR administrative support, to provide comprehensive HR services and act as a valuable resource to client management on all employment matters.
Address routine and complex employee relations/performance issues, guide on non-standard matters such as reorganization and policy creation, and oversee routine HR management duties.
Act as an in-house HR resource for client needs, providing advice, updating staff on personnel policies and procedures, and serving as a resource on operational and compliance issues.
Develop and improve client HR systems and infrastructure, enhance and update policies and procedures in accordance with labor laws and best practices, and serve as a strategic partner to management on employee engagement and issue resolution.
Oversee HR documentation maintenance, design and coordinate new employee onboarding and exit meetings, and handle employment issues, lay-offs/terminations, and reductions in force.
Participate in HR Assessments of new clients and contribute to various special projects. **
What We're Looking For**
Bachelor's degree required; higher-level degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with expertise in Biotech, Start-ups, For-profit, and shares/options.
Experience in small to mid-sized companies, particularly those with around 150 employees, and across multiple industries, with non-profit experience preferred.
Excellent administrative and client relationship skills.
Ability to work independently, manage and assign work to administrators, and demonstrate technology proficiency.
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and diplomatic manner.
Professional judgment skills, positive interactive style, and experience explaining HR information and practices clearly.
Proven ability to handle competing priorities and deadlines, interact, advise, and communicate effectively in a consulting capacity.
Conversant in Federal and Massachusetts employment regulations, proactive in problem-solving, and accessing additional resources as necessary. **
