The Network Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day handling of escalations related to incidents, projects or requests of our managed services customer's environments. Our Senior Network Engineers are a valued member of the Managed Services Infrastructure Practice – Network and Voice Services team responsible for providing subject matter expertise incident management, service request management and change management infrastructure support for all Managed Services customers.
Responsibilities Responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of network equipment Communicate, internally and externally, the status of the projects/service request directly with the customer or broadcast to a larger audience as defined Possess the ability to track time worked with a high degree of accuracy Perform network administration including, but not limited to MACDs related to firewall, routing, switching, IPSEC, VPCs, SD-WAN, Load Balancer, Authentication servers (ISE TACACS+, SAML) solutions Must possess the ability to walk another person through connecting a console connection and configure a device to the point of remote managementPerform baseline administration of Amazon Web Services VPCs, CIDR management – similar Microsoft Azure Technologies, GPC Performs adds, moves, and changes on Network infrastructure within expected timeline Execute Network routine and emergency infrastructure changes as required by customer Perform troubleshooting with carriers and vendors regarding network hardware and circuit issues, order and coordinate RMA of devices remotely Actively contribute to the configuration, layout and performance tuning of the managed Network and Collaboration infrastructure Build and maintain documentation for customer Network infrastructure Other duties as assignedQualifications5+ years of experience with operational administration of Network Infrastructure3+ years working with monitoring platforms; LogicMonitor a bonus3+ years of experience with operational administration of Cisco Infrastructure3+ years of experience with operational administration of Palo Alto InfrastructureExperience with GlobalProtect, AnyConnect Advanced experience with Cisco ISE, BGP/EIGRP/OSPF, FMC + FTD/ASA Background with enterprise Routing and Switching technologiesKnowledge and experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocolsExperience with more than two enterprise LAN, SD-WAN and WAN topologiesStrong background with operational administration of Network Management Systems and IPAM Strong oral and written communications skillsBachelor’s Degree or Equivalent ExperienceCCNA requiredCCNP Enterprise - BonusCCNP Security - BonusWhy AHEAD:
