Senior Analyst, Enterprise Data Management – Job Description

Our team is currently looking for a Senior Enterprise Data Management Analyst who is passionate about executing on a collaborative, agile and modern data management program for the enterprise. You should have a passion to improve business insights and analytical value from our data through thoughtful application of data management. You will be involved in the design of and delivery of master data management, data quality, and data governance; processes, standards, capabilities, and solutions that enable and promote the use of self-service analytics across the enterprise. Your mission will be to bring people across the organization together around the shared purpose of leveraging meaningful, trusted data. Through a consultative approach, you will be a trusted partner throughout the enterprise to advise on improving outcomes with trusted data.

Responsibilities:

• Execute key data governance processes including the following: intake and prioritization process, critical data asset identification, data cataloging, and monitoring
• Serve as senior, trusted data governance evangelist
• Participates in identifying new capabilities and new design patterns
• Assists with gathering requirements for data management initiatives and projects
• Partners with the business data stewards during project delivery and on an ongoing basis
• Advocate for participation from business areas in data management activities
• Defines data quality standards and rules conforming to business requirements
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve agile solutions and processes to solve data quality and data integration issues using data quality and MDM tools
• Create mockups and presents this in an effective manner to stakeholders and data governance forums
• prototype solutions, working with Data Engineers and BI Solutions Architect to ensure the customer’s needs are met in the final product
• Participates in architectural design discussions
• Mentors less experienced Data Governance Analysts
• Stay up to date on data governance trends and employ industry (and company) best practices
• Identify, assess, monitor, document, and communicate potential quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used
• Research and determine scope and complexity of issue to identify steps to fix issue
• Be a resource to teammates and the organization as a subject matter expert in data governance and data management
• Facilitate the definition of business KPIs and be a change agent where standardization needs to occur
• Agent for change to improve business and IT processes
• Develops and facilitates training on data governance topics

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in data management and data governance roles
• Strong experience with various MDM methodologies and tooling, data catalogs, and data quality tooling with modern cloud approaches
• Experience with MDM tools with a preference to Reltio
• Experience working with relational database systems
• Advanced knowledge and practice of SQL
• Working knowledge of data visualization tools, with preference to PowerBI
• Working knowledge of data preparation and data transformation (for BI/analytics) approaches
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong planning and management skills
• Critical thinker and analytical
• Demonstrated problem solving techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Comfortable using work management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
• Familiar with logging tools: AppInsights, Dynatrace, FullStory
• Familiar with Microsoft Azure cloud, DevOps
• Knowledge of Python and Api's

Pay Range: USD $110,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
