OMNI Institute is a 501c3 nonprofit consultancy that supports nonprofit organizations, philanthropies, government agencies, and social ventures to accelerate positive social change toward a more equitable society. We provide research, evaluation, and capacity-building services through a 100% fee-for-service project-based consulting model. We have 50+ staff based throughout the United States. Our primary areas of focus are Community Health, Behavioral Health, Justice, Economic Security, and Children & Families.
The Opportunity
OMNI is seeking candidates for a full-time Graphic Designer, and we strongly encourage applicants who identify as people of color, LGBTQ+, first-generation American, those who were first in their families to attend college, and people who are from low-income backgrounds to apply for this position.
Reporting to the Director of Impact, the Graphic Designer will bring design excellence to OMNI’s project deliverables, as well as to its marketing, business development, brand, and proposal materials. Our graphic designer will build meaningful relationships with teammates to participate effectively in projects across the organization (particularly in collaboration with senior technical staff) and will support the design and delivery of work across the organization.

What This Role Will Look Like
In 90 days you will have:
- Completed our onboarding process and have a foundational understanding of the work we do, the role you will play across client projects and internal marketing/business development, and have a working knowledge of the systems, technology, and processes we use in our work.
- Reviewed our brand kit, previously-produced deliverables and marketing/business development materials, and have a working understanding of our brand aesthetic and market niche.
- Begun designing and delivering project deliverables and marketing/business development materials.
Some of what you may do during your first year at OMNI:
- Design OMNI’s high-impact/visibility deliverables for client projects. This includes:
- Designing layouts
- Developing data visualization of various kinds depending on the type of project
- Working closely with OMNI research staff to process rounds of revision with speed and attention to detail
- Designing any other visual elements that would effectively communicate the project’s findings to diverse audiences
- Design covers and graphics for proposals in collaboration with OMNI’s Proposal Manager and senior research staff.
- Design business development and marketing materials of various kinds in partnership with OMNI’s Director of Impact and research staff, including:
- One-pagers and infographics
- Conference collateral
- Graphics for OMNI’s email newsletter, social media, and website

Salary & Benefits
This is a salaried position at $60,000, plus benefits that include:
- 100% employer-paid employee health premiums
- Vision, dental, supplemental insurance
- 401k with a company match of 50%, up to 8% of employee contribution, with immediate vesting

- PTO begins with 3 weeks with an additional 11 floating holidays and annual office closures from Dec 24-Jan 1 and on the first Friday of April, July, and October.

This position is fully remote, located anywhere within the continental United States. Employees will need to provide their own suitable home office environment.
