A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the DoD to achieve their mission, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network the Army needs.

As a local area network administrator on our team, you’ll work with our clients to maintain and evolve a reliable network to support our national defense. You’ll collaborate with government employees, vendors, and others to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You’ll then share your expertise during the planning of the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you’ll put your hardware and software talents to good use. You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with network administration in a professional work environment

• Experience with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts and software or firmware patches and upgrades

• Knowledge of line of sight, wireless, and Wi-Fi equipment and convergence routing, switching, IP accelerators, and network administration

• Knowledge of virtual local area network design schemes for network separation

• Knowledge of Virtual Private Networks, Voice Networks, Web Based Technologies, and Wide Area Network

• Secret clearance

• HS diploma or GED

• Ability to obtain a CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification within 90 days of hire

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Juniper switches and routers

• Knowledge of DIACAP and RMF processes

• Knowledge of PKI implementation, including X.509 certificates and certificate authorities

• Master's degree

• CCNP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
