Job Overview Summary

We are excited to announce our need for a Talent Acquisition Intern through our 2024 Summer Intern Program. The program is aimed at cultivating junior talent for Advarra through a cohort-based approach, fostering experiences and interactions while building essential skills and values, and enhancing our entry-level talent pipeline. The Talent Acquisition intern is responsible for supporting recruitment processes and improving our talent acquisition capabilities. In line with this initiative, we are seeking a motivated intern who has an interest in the field of recruiting and is eager to deepen their understanding of the intricacies involved in talent identification and acquisition.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Become educated on Advarra’s recruiting processes, tools, and initiatives
  • Provide sourcing support to the Talent Acquisition team for open positions, as well as build a pipeline and network of leads for future positions
  • Coordinate interview scheduling for niche and high-volume roles
  • Help create effective training materials for Talent Acquisition including support of Recruiter Hiring Manager learning series that includes training on interviewing practices, Behavioral Interviewing, candidate experience, and LinkedIn
  • Dive into market practices, talent insights, and industry trends to help educate business leaders
  • Research, develop, and assemble best recruiting and hiring practices
  • Refresh and revise our Talent Acquisition SharePoint site with relevant and useful materials
  • Post open positions on various job platforms and work with the Talent Acquisition team to optimize existing search tools
  • Special Projects at the direction of recruitment team members
  • Report to the Sr. Director of Talent Acquisition

Location

This role is open to candidates working remotely in the United States.

Basic Qualifications

  • Graduate or undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communication, or related field
  • High School Diploma
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Programs, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities/initiatives to meet deadlines
  • Ability to start June 3rd and work 20 hrs/week between the hours of 9AM-5PM EST
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of recruiting experience working for a search firm or in house recruiting team; or related experience in a prior internship
  • Prior experience sourcing candidates via social media and resume databases
  • Experience conducting Boolean searches to source talent
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) strongly preferred
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess personal integrity and collaborative and effective problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Attention to detail and goal oriented

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.
  • Learn and comprehend basic instructions
  • Focus and attention to tasks and responsibilities
  • Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding, and speaking
