Job description

Based in Washington, D.C., Quorum is the leading provider of workflow software and information services for government affairs professionals globally. We serve over 2,000 customers—including over 50% of the Fortune 100—across 30+ countries.

At Quorum, our "product" isn't just our software; it’s our people. We are looking for a Sales Engineer (SE) who is a master storyteller, a technical strategist, and a commercial powerhouse. This isn't just a role about demonstrating features—it’s an opportunity to act as the primary technical advisor to the world’s leading public affairs teams, positioning Quorum as the premier AI-first platform for government affairs.

The Impact You’ll Have

As a Sales Engineer, you are the technical anchor of our sales lifecycle. Partnering closely with our Revenue team, you will dive deep into complex enterprise deals, translating advanced technology into clear, measurable business value. You will challenge prospect assumptions, design custom technical solutions, and directly influence our bottom line by driving Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Discovery & Strategy: Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers to uncover client pain points, understand their technical infrastructure, and map out tailored solutions.

  • Compelling Demonstrations: Deliver sophisticated, data-driven product demonstrations that utilize commercial insights and strategic reframes to challenge prospect assumptions and highlight Quorum's unique value proposition.

  • Asset & Automation Engineering: Develop and maintain a scalable library of technical assets, including custom demo environments and AI-supported guides, to boost team efficiency and accelerate pipeline velocity.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the bridge between Revenue, Product, Marketing, and Revenue Operations (RevOps) to align sales strategy with organizational goals, support Go-To-Market (GTM) launches, and fuel continuous product education.

  • AI-First Advocacy: Maintain deep technical mastery of Quorum's product ecosystem, serving as an expert on our AI-driven features (including Quincy, AI Agents, and AI Bill Tracking) and advanced data products.

About You

  • The Experience: You have 2+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or a similar technical pre-sales role, ideally navigating complex, high-stakes deals within a B2B SaaS environment.

  • The Communicator: You possess deep technical mastery but can effortlessly translate complex software features, predictive analytics, and AI architecture into clear business outcomes for non-technical stakeholders.

  • The Tech Enthusiast: You are a nimble learner who loves diving into new tools, playing with product usage telemetry, and exploring the cutting edge of AI-powered software.

  • The Problem Solver: You are resourceful, highly organized, and thrive in a fast-paced sales environment where managing multiple competing priorities is second nature.

  • The Relationship Builder: You naturally build trust and cultivate strong, cooperative relationships across internal teams and external client stakeholders alike.

About the Revenue Team

We take pride in being the first-impression of what it is like to work with Quorum.

  • We are Solution-Oriented: We strive to understand our buyers’ challenges and recommend solutions that enable them to achieve their goals.

  • We are Thought Leaders: We follow political news and government affairs trends daily to stay ahead of the curve.

  • We are Supportive: We foster an environment where peer-to-peer feedback is encouraged to drive both personal and professional growth.

  • We are Respectful: We earn client trust by taking an intentionally respectful approach to our competition.

Our Work Environment

  • We are an AI-forward team—AI is built into how we work, think, and grow.

  • We are a remote-friendly team with flexible work options: work remotely or, if you're in the area, choose to visit our vibrant, sunlit space in our modern, open-concept office in Washington, D.C.

  • Our office building is located in the heart of downtown DC, easily accessible by metro, bus, and rideshares. It is also in close proximity to great restaurants, food trucks, shopping, and popular happy hour spots.

Quorum Is Working to Advance Pay Equity: What Does That Mean For You?

In an effort to continue to build a diverse and inclusive work environment that advances pay equity, Quorum has implemented a “No Negotiation” policy for base salary for new hires for roles that are currently staffed by three or more team members. This means that candidates for the Sales Engineer role cannot negotiate Quorum’s base salary offer.

Here’s our promise to you:

  • We will not ask you what you are currently earning.

  • We will consider years of relevant experience, relevant professional certifications/education, and performance expectations in setting what we believe is a competitive, fair base salary offer.

  • We will be transparent about our compensation structure (see above) so that all candidates have equal access to compensation information and can make an informed decision about whether or not Quorum is the right workplace for them.

If you are interested in learning more about how negotiation impacts pay equity and/or why other start-ups have decided to implement a “No Negotiation” policy of some type, here are a few resources: Project Include, AAUW, Magoosh.

Note: Quorum does not endorse or verify any of the information provided in the resources on the impact of negotiation on pay equity. We provide these resources simply to increase awareness of a topic we believe is important for both employers and candidates to consider.

We comply with all requirements for US government federal contractors issued by the OFCCP, IFR, and the terms of our government contracts.
